Task
Possess a working knowledge of all company products and can underwrite any type of general insurance business
· Possess working knowledge of the company’s forms and endorsements and the requirements of the company’s rating methodology and reinsurance contracts
· Provide quotations of intermediaries, customers and other parties for all risks referred, within company guidelines
· Communicate with customers, intermediaries and other external sources on underwriting matters
· Appropriately underwrite and price risks in accordance with the company’s underwriting standards, regulatory insurance requirements and personal underwriting authority level.
· Process all underwriting transactions
· Seek reinsurance assistance through Underwriting Team Leader/Unit Manager as required
Preform own filing functions and keep all files in good order.
Perform special projects and other job duties as necessary
Educate brokers on company policies regarding underwriting
