o Oracle Database Appliance Virtualization Platform
Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) is a new member of Oracle engineered system
created for mid-market database customers. Since its launch in 2011, we have been
very well received by customers globally. I joined the team when ODA VM platform
was in its very initial phase.
Developed different Agents for VM management operations.
Developed the Xml library for the communication between Domain-0 and ODA Base
Domain.
Developed many features including vm snapshot support, vdisk support, shared
repository support, vm console, vlan support, cpupool support, sending messages to
vm, ODA Base deployment, network configuration etc.
Worked on customer escalations and bug fixing post development.

Google Summer Of Code – 2010, Open Source Developer:
May 2010 – August 2010
o Selected and sponsored by Google as part of Google Summer of Code 2010 program.
o Worked for tux4kids, an open-source high quality educational software alternatives.

o Project: Accessibility Improvements in Tux Paint.
This project was on accessibility improvements for Tux Paint, an open source paint
application of tux4kids. In this project, I had to implement more keyboard access to
tools, special mouse modes, joystick support and on-screen keyboard. The motto was
to make the input methods more user friendly and children, which constitutes the
major part of users of Tux Paint, finds it more fun.

Comparative Study of Techniques for Sentiment Extraction from MicroBlogs:

Exposure: Data clustering methods, Sentiment analysis methods
Details: In this thesis, the main aim was to compare the different machine learning methods used for
extraction of sentiments from micro blogs such as tweets.
Implementation of various algorithms for thinning of Fingerprints:
Guide : Mr. S.K. Singh, Computer Science and Engineering, IT-BHU.
Exposure : Image Processing, Database Management, Matlab.
Details : In this project we have to implement various algorithms for thinning of fingerprints. We
will be detecting various minutae in image using the algorithms.

Predicting Fault Proneness in Object Oriented Software using NN Sampling and Supervised
Learning:
Guide: Prof. K. K. Shukla, Department of Computer Engineering, IT-BHU.
Exposure: Data classification methods, Sampling methods, Matlab.
Details: In this project, we did nearest neighbour sampling of the available data set and then did
classification using support vector machines. We concluded that more accurate results are obtained by the
procedure we followed.

Automated Vacuum Cleaner With An Eye
Exposure : Matlab and Basic Electronics
Details : Our idea was that the cleaner will start automatically every day at fixed time set by user.
The snapshots taken by the camera will be analysed by our software and accordingly the vacuum
cleaner will be instructed where it has to clean and where not to.
Scholastic Achievements:
Cleared the highly prestigious examination of the IIT-JEE (Indian Institute of Technology-Joint
Entrance Examination) and secured a rank of 4791 out of 0.2 million students that appeared in the
exam JEE-2007 i.e. was ranked among the top 2% of the engineering students in India in my first
attempt.
Awarded a branch change from Mining Engineering to Computer Science and Engineering for my
meticulous performance in 1st year.
Receiver of the merit-cum scholarship awarded to the top two students of each branch in an
academic year.
Participated in OPTIKA (Computer controlled Robot Based on Image Processing) at Magnumopus
2009, Technical cum Management Festival of IT-BHU.
Presented a working model of automated vacuum cleaner in MODEX (Model Exhibition) at Technex
2008, Technical Festival of IT-BHU
