I have excellent time management and organizational skills, and have extensive experience developing and managing projects. I am flexible and can adapt to changing requirements, while being creative and able to offer suggestions.
Previously, I created and maintained my own website, writing and editing all of my own content. I also developed videos and show scripts for my online live stream show where I conducted interviews and discussions with guests while also doing solo segments. I am comfortable behind a camera or microphone, and can write or verbally deliver quality content on short notice.
I also provided in-house editing services for an online education resource provider. I worked with the owners to develop and write some of the text for a weekly curriculum series and also edited the text written by the owners for curriculum and web pages.
When I was younger, I was a youth columnist in the quarterly news publication of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria titled The Diocesan Messenger. For each issue, I consulted with my editor to pitch an article idea or theme, then would develop a youth-geared article within a specified word limit. These articles would pass through a rigorous screening by the editing team before being published. I was selected to join of team of junior news reporters for the national Canadian Catholic newspaper The Catholic Register. My role consisted of working with our team editor to develop articles based on current events such as the papal visit to the United States, and consulting with other members of my team to create group articles to discuss topics relevant to religious youth.
