I love ideas. I ponder ideas and experiments. I also write and publish scientific research. But my heart lies in entrepreneurship where these ideas can become a reality. I have done much research, experimentation, and publishing. I have also graduated from an entrepreneurship academy and attended numerous seminars and workshops. From a child, I had experience with home businesses. I worked at our family seed business in all aspects from seed breeding to workflow organization to product innovation. I have also started various businesses ranging in topics from culturally significant clothing to ecological insect control to indoor botany and design.

I have done research on three continents and in various countries. My training during my Ph.D. gave me much experience with diverse cultures, plants, and thought processes. From this, I will be able to see your vision even when other people are stuck in a rut. Amazingly, there are so many ways to accomplish a goal, yet we get blocked by the habits and thought processes of the people around us and ourselves. I am here to tell you that there is a way, and there is a way to get your idea off the ground professionally. I help you through all the stages of industry entrepreneurship academies, clinics, and schools in a way that works for your project. I have graduated from the UC Davis Entrepreneurship Academy (now Child Family Institute for Entrepreneurship) and attended various startup and accelerator events. I specifically help you refine the technical and scientific aspect of your project. We break down each step so that you will have a protocol to pitch your product, demonstrate its benefits in a compelling way, and be seen as the expert.

My methods are based on multiple fields of study. In our lessons, we will draw on biological and chemical research. But we will also bring in psychology and practical counseling methods for identifying the needs of and the emotions your client feels. We incorporate social science on friend creation and relationship making with clients, customers, and friends. We will also cover techniques for self-esteem maintenance in the person you are pitching your product too. I leave you with usable step-by-step tools to enact these principles. The great thing about them is that they are based on research and they increase the value of your product in a way that is positive for you and your customer. I want everyone to be healthy and happy from the results of these tools. This is solid research that leads to creative inventions, honest pitches, accurate information, genuine care for your client, and a win-win deal for each party.

My research has covered topics ranging in scale from protein turnover, growth factor signaling, and natural products chemistry in the biomedical sciences to land-use change and traditional knowledge dynamics within human ecology and geography. I have a great interest in youth education and the promotion of social entrepreneurship. Because of this, I have coordinated projects that combine inter-generational learning and research with indigenous community members. The connection between humans, ecology, and analytical lab studies makes for, what I consider, an exciting dynamic that leads to ideas and innovation for a hopeful future.
