Andreas Bernstein

Hi!

I am Andreas Bernstein, a freelance illustrator in Malmö, Sweden. My passion for drawing began as a child and at the age of 9, I started drawing animated flip books out of different cartoon TV shows. This was a great passion for me which I continued to develop until I became a teenager. I knew drawing/painting was the path meant for me and kept on going for studies. My educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in information design with a focus on informative illustration from Mälardalens Högskola. To broaden my knowledge of the advertising industry, I studied at Hyper Island in Stockholm and graduated as an Interactive Art Director. Following my studies I started my company Andreas Illustration and began freelancing. I have been working for different agencies and my portfolio features work with a range of applications including illustration, graphic design, logotypes, presentations and covers. Since December 2019 I am part of the creative directory Pictoria 3, a guide to the best contemporary illustrators worldwide. People describes me as a positive and humbled person and I take on challenges in order to continually develop. I do this by being open to new ideas, and by having a constant driving force for learning new things. With a great interest in other cultures while speaking Swedish, German and English, I enjoy working with people from all across the world.
