Andrea Meloni

Hello, everyone!

Thanks for being here. My name is Andrea Meloni.

I am an architect graduated from the Turin Polytechnic University who is dedicated to exploring the world and photography. I do not just use the simple text but I focus a lot on photography to engage my audience and make them dream.

Photographic experimentation begins in 2007 with my first trip to the United States. I visited 45 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa where I made personal reports from various places.

Traveling for me has a profound meaning because it responds to an urgent need to explore always-different places and helps me to fully understand the variegated world in which we live.

I believe that photography, like many other things you do in life, is the exact expression of who you are at a given time. Every time I shoot and release the shutter, I voice my thoughts and opinions.

There is no place on earth that does not deserve to be seen and immortalized, I think it is the best way to keep the memory alive and to be able to share it with people who have the same passion as me.

Some publications have been made on the portals of “Sky Art”, “Turin's Museum of Cinema”, “Vogue Italia” and ”Ansa”.

Prizes & Awards

I never stop having fun. I am not looking for a photo but I'm always open to what happens at a certain moment. I allow myself to be stimulated by anything that strikes me and I always work towards a goal that is an exhibition, a competition or a book. Even more important is the commitment I put into finding my voice, my subject, my application.

Prizes & Awards in 2019

• Finalist as the only Italian for the Traverse Creator Award in two categories: as the best website for photography and for the best gallery on instagram

Prizes & Awards in 2018

• One of the three winners in the “Means of Transport” category for the “Vite in Viaggio” competition, organized by the AMO museum in Verona

Prizes & Awards in 2017

• Winner of the “Yough Photography” competition organized by the National Cinema Museum of Turin

• I was selected for the fourth Indipendent Curatorial Experience, Paratissima in Turin - One of the three winners in the Italian category for the Photo Metro Challenge
