Hello,
With a formal background in Law, as I have just recently acquired my bachelor’s
degree here in Brazil, I am looking for a massive career change, aiming for remote
opportunities across the world in customer-related areas.
Studying human behavior has been a life-long passion of mine, and the reason why I
started transitioning to conflict resolution areas, such as mediation and Restorative
Justice, in the past few years. That means I have plenty of experience, both theoretical
and practical, in dealing with people, as my CV shows.
As you may also have seen in my CV, I do not have much work experience in any
area. I have struggled with major depression for most of my adult life, so I was
incapable of working for a few years. In spite of that, I was blessed with a brilliant mind;
my IQ is over 135, and even higher when it comes to linguistic intelligence alone.
What that means is: if it’s simply experience you’re looking for, I’m not the guy. But if
you want an extremely intelligent and hardworking employee, who is willing to devote
his heart and soul to this job and this company, aiming to rise higher and higher in
hierarchy, you should bet on me. I have to start somewhere in the professional
environment now that I’m healthy, and this is what I’m choosing: you.
Most of the time I wasn’t working or formally studying (my illness made me quit Law
school for a couple years), I was reading and studying a broad array of subjects, such
as psychology, philosophy, geography and history. I even learned English on my own.
Therefore, I believe I have outstanding writing skills (mostly in Portuguese, but I
believe I can do pretty well in English, as I continue practicing) and massive general
knowledge.
This was my way of showing you a glimpse of my potential; our potential, if we work
together. I have plenty of energy, stored from so many years of a semi-vegetative
state, and I am looking forward to an opportunity to prove my worth, because I know I
will not disappoint. Isn’t it worth “wasting” at least a bit of your time to check if I really
am that valuable?
I hope to hear from you soon,
André Scatambulo da Silva Correia
