My name is Andaizia Cherry, and my professional journey has been shaped by a passion for growth and continuous learning. I first started my career as a cook in a small restaurant, but soon realized that cooking wasn’t my true calling. I’ve always been drawn to the business world, especially accounting, so I took a leap and applied for an accounting internship. This decision was the turning point in my career.
During my internship, I worked as a Junior Accounts Clerk, where I was responsible for accounts payables, accounts receivables, job costing, and inventory costing. This experience helped build my foundation in the accounting field, and I gained valuable skills in managing finances and streamlining processes. In addition to these tasks, I also performed administrative duties for the directors of each client, which gave me a broader understanding of how different departments function and how to support leadership effectively.
Afterward, I advanced to the position of Financial Administrator at a well-known optical company in my country. Here, I focused heavily on improving their accounting system, particularly by implementing and optimizing QuickBooks. I also worked on introducing more structure and organization into the company’s financial processes, which was a rewarding experience that allowed me to truly make an impact.
Seeking new challenges, I then transitioned into the hospitality industry, where I initially worked as a payroll officer at a small hotel. Within seven months, I was promoted to payables officer, which expanded my responsibilities even further. In addition to my accounting work, I also assist with human resource duties and various administrative tasks, demonstrating my versatility and willingness to contribute beyond my core role.
I am passionate about learning new things and constantly seek opportunities to grow professionallyand also about creating positive, collaborative work environments and am eager to contribute my skills wherever needed.
I strongly believe that staying confined to just one department limits growth, so I’m always eager to lend a hand to other areas of the business whenever possible. Whether it’s accounting, HR, or administration, I’m committed to fostering a positive work environment and driving results across the board.
