Anastasios Lamproudis

I am a graduate of KTH M.Sc. in Machine Learning and I hold a B.Sc. in Physics with a robust background in STEM studies. During my bachelor studies, I acquired a strong background in mathematics and physics. I learned how to approach each problem in a scientific way along with searching for the motivation behind each result. Upon completion of my B.Sc. studies, I spent a year as a volunteer tutor for highschool students with limited economic capacity. Through this experience I got accustomed to a working environment, where I learned how to communicate my knowledge, both to colleagues and students, in a structured way that is straightforward and simple but yet, attempts to capture the most of each subject.

However, realizing that I prefer more practical projects rather than pursuing a career in education, I decided to study Machine Learning at KTH University. The program included among others courses of Deep Learning, Advanced Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Advanced Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning. I enjoyed working along with my teammates in projects with traditional Machine Learning techniques such as linear classifiers and hidden Markov chains to more recent deep learning models such as Recurrent Neural networks and Convolutional Neural networks. I got excited for being able to complete projects in computer vision, speech & speaker recognition, and natural language processing, performing data analysis, feature selection, designed architectures, and reproducing results of cutting edge Machine Learning papers. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that I conducted my thesis in collaboration with Doktor24, where I worked with the most recent and cutting edge natural language processing techniques and state of the art language models, aiming to improve the performance of the NLP service in the application, resulting in parts of my work being integrated in the company's application workflow.

Overall, I would describe myself as a very friendly and sociable person, excited to work and collaborate with professionals within the Data Science and Machine Learning fields. I have a strong sense of commitment when solving problems, and fulfillment upon overcoming them, since the prospect of working in projects and tackle hard challenges motivates me to study, advance my knowledge, and broaden my skill-set.
