My most recent professional background includes teaching English language online to international students of different proficiency levels and ages. When it comes to experience related to marketing, I started being very interested in the field when I first started writing my blog, back in 2011. Marketing and promoting the blog to targeted readers was a challenge and it made me very keen on learning more about it. Starting school at Faculty of Economics, Finance and Administration (FEFA) made me even more interested in the matter especially after taking a course in Marketing, Management and Strategic Management. Having a chance to write research papers as part of faculty’s assignments, I would always choose topics related to marketing, branding and advertising. Therefore, my final graduation paper was about marketing and brand management.
After learning about the field, the next logical step was to challenge myself in a practical situation. FEFA Open is a charitable tennis tournament organized by students and supported by professors. The tournament is organized in collaboration with UNICEF and many sponsors that help with money donations, gifts and other necessities for the event. At the time I was one of two main organizers as well as a Social Media Marketing Manager. The biggest success of FEFA Open was a newly incorporated part of the tournament – corporate league, as well as collecting the most money since FEFA Open was first founded.
The next step for me was an internship in a marketing agency Communis DDB in which I learned how it looks to be responsible for digital media accounts and prepare monthly reports, do market research, brainstorm with colleagues and give constructive suggestions that were later on implemented, as well as deal with critical situations that could negatively affect brands and their reputation.
Other relevant skills that I possess are computer literacy, advanced level in English language and basic knowledge in German and Greek. I am detail oriented and utterly persistent.
