When I joined Sure Oak, there were fewer than 20 official team members, but with hard
work I was able to find and recruit enough talent to double our team to match company
growth. Aside from researching, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and on boarding new team
members, at Sure Oak I was given the opportunity to provide digital marketing services for
clients, such as performing link-building campaigns or conducting technical SEO keyword
research with tools like Ahrefs. I also offered to write many of the company blog posts,
which involved conducting keyword research, creating content, and scheduling and
tagging content to be released appropriately.

Originally hired as a project manager to oversee the planning and execution of a
milestone video project, the client later asked me to broaden the scope of responsibilities
associated with my position. I enjoyed opportunities to introduce, improve, and document
company processes and systems, oversee the completion of tasks for various projects,
maintain and facilitate close communication with all team members, arrange and take
notes during meetings, produce content for and manage social media accounts like
Instagram and Facebook, and contribute to designing advertising posters, flyers, and
other brand graphics. I was also responsible for finding, recruiting, and on-boarding some
new team members.

Language Village. I attended two separate one-month summer sessions at the Concordia
language school to learn Japanese. For one month, I was immersed in Japanese culture
