I'm a freelance journalist based in Cochabamba, Bolivia, specializing in development and current affairs.
I've written for The Guardian, Devex, New Internationalist, Bolivian Express, and others. Before moving to Bolivia, I spent four years covering the food and energy industries as a staff reporter.
In Bolivia, I teach at Performing Life, a youth arts foundation focusing on children in the poorest neighborhoods in the city of Cochabamba. A year volunteering there has given me experience of pedagogy, charity communications, volunteer management, stage management, and crowd funding. I have also worked as an interpreter for documentary crews and our major sponsor.
My degree is in German, French and linguistics, from the University of Cambridge, so I have a strong foundation in related skills such as translation.
