Amit Dedhia

I live in Mumbai (India). I have graduated as Computer Engineer from University of Mumbai and have been working in the software industry for 22+ years now – in various capacity. I have been involved in working with large teams, architecting and developing software solutions, and leading a team of more than 25 people.

Currently I am working as Machine Learning Engineer (as remote developer from India). I work on Computer Vision and NLP using deep learning.

Previously I have worked on object detection, semantic segmentation and pose estimation models. My responsibility includes building, optimizing and training deep learning models using PyTorch and TensorFlow.

I have extensive experience in development of Desktop and Web based software with .Net and many other technologies. A large part of this experience is in Medical Imaging related software development.

I am very strong at understanding business requirements. I have tendency to think ahead of time and try to understand overall context of the system which help improve clarity. I am a self-learner and highly motivated person; have learned lot of new concepts on my own, the latest one being Machine Learning. I am result oriented and yearn for finishing tasks that yield maximum benefit for the stakeholders.

I will be working remotely from India. However, I am flexible on work hours, and will be able to give maximum possible time overlap as needed. I have been working as Remote developer with start-up companies since last 6 years (across Singapore, USA/Canada and Hong Kong) and I am pretty comfortable with it, fully aware of challenges and fun involved in it.
