Trained in Communications Research and Business Administration, I started my career as a writer and researcher. I later on moved to the corporate world where I gained experience on the strategic and operations level. My operations level experience included administrative, sales, marketing, communications, and research. Also, I gained experience doing humanitarian work as a volunteer for organizations such as Metro World Child Foundation and the Operation Blessing Philippines.
My first writing stint was in the broadcast industry as a freelance continuity writer for documentaries aired back in the mid-1990s. Not long after, I transitioned to the print medium, where I got exposed to doing profiles of heads of various industries (manufacturing, media, even the export and development sector) here in the Philippines. These were published in print magazines catering to businesspeople at the time. I also analyzed and wrote the final report on the evaluation of the national campaign for the family planning program of the Department of Health, under the able management of the Johns Hopkins University and funded by the USAID.
During the years I spent working in the corporate world, I served as the Executive Assistant of both the President and Resident Manager of Industrias Metallurgicas Pescarmona Sociedad Anonyma (IMPSA), Asia. I also served as a Researcher directly under the President and CEO of Jaka Investments Corporation.
In recent years, I have done mostly management work for sales using various software for recording, tracking of activity, customer service, and management of sales personnel.
