Some of my previous employers were IBC (Iraq Body Count) project, Karin for Medical Services and the OHCHR (voluntary). As a medical coordinator, I provided phone translation and coordination for Arabic speaking patients who wish to receive medical care from well-known hospitals in Turkey. I dealt with more than 100 patients. United States Embassy-Baghdad/Iraq Chief of Protocol (Senior Protocol Assistant)     December 2015 till now October 2013 –July 2015 As the Chief of Protocol , I managed the Protocol Office with two other staff members under my supervision, many of the official events hosted by the Ambassador and Deputy Chief of Mission . From ordinary luncheons up to events with 600 attendees, i.e. Fourth of July event. I provided protocol advice to the Ambassador and his deputy for a number of occasions ,i.e Iftars in Ramadhan. I arranged many meetings between the Ambassador and his deputy with high level Iraqi Government Officials, Members of Parliament ……etc. i.e. the Prime Minster and the Parliament Speaker. I developed a network up to the minister level in the Iraqi Government as well with NGOs , Embassies, Universities, Think tanks business community. Awards: Meritorious Honor Awards for managing the protocol office during a time of transition and staff shortage with high numbers of representational events. British Embassy-Baghdad/Iraq Protocol Officer    April 2011-October 2013 I arranged high level meetings between senior Embassy staff and Government of Iraq officials and attended as a translator in some of these meetings, i.e. I translated in a meeting between the Ambassador and Deputy Head of the General Secretariat of Counsel of Ministers. I participated in arranging large official events in the Embassy with at least 200 attendees, i.e. The Queen’s Birthday Party. On the administration side, I managed to obtain more all special International Zone passes for all Embassy staff members within 6 months and was also able to register most of the Embassy’s vehicles, i.e. I obtained diplomatic and ordinary license plates for most of Embassy’s vehicles within 1 year. Awards:     Employee of the Month Award for Participating with a number of colleagues for the closure of the British Consulate in Basra. Employee of the Month Award for securing most of the diplomatic number plates for the Embassy’s vehicles. Employee of the Month Award for providing logistics, facilitation, to secure the relocation of all the accommodation and equipment of one of the Embassy’s sites. Employee of the Month Award for providing assistance in a sensitive consular case.
