CASE STUDY 1 Revision of Feasibility Study By: Algrace Jean Algabre OVERVIEW A client who took a Master's degree reached out to me, asking for help in revising the financial section of her feasibility study named "Healing Hands Ambulatory Surgery and Urgent Care Clinic." It was done by another commissioner, but the financial section, which is Chapter 4 of the paper, needs significant revisions. The client initially outsourced this work from another commissioner, who later became unresponsive, leaving her in a challenging situation. THE CHALLENGE The part that needs significant revision is Chapter 4 of the Feasibility Study, which is the Financial Section. It has several errors that left it questionable by the professor. Specific challenges included are the following: First Problem Inaccurate Proposed Project Cost: The client’s professor questioned the accuracy and relevance of the proposed project costs since it is very low. Second Problem Lack of Reliable Costs Basis: The professor suggested to look online for the actual costing of the said ambulatory clinic here in the Philippines for it to be reliable. THE CHALLENGE Third Problem Incorrect Financial Statements format: The financial statements look untidy and have many errors, making them hard to understand and analyze. These issues resulted in poor feedback from the client’s professor and put her at risk of not meeting her academic deadlines. MY APPROACH To address the client’s needs and deliver a comprehensive revision, I took the following steps: Understand and incorporate the corrections made by the client’s professor I carefully reviewed the professor’s initial feedback to understand what needs to be done to improve the output. This includes analyzing the financial section and the proper format of the financial statements. Conduct In-Depth Research Conducted in-depth research on the actual costs of establishing an Ambulatory Clinic in the Philippines by gathering data from reliable sources, healthcare reports, and industry standards. Making sure that the estimated costs are realistic and reflect the current market and economic conditions in the Philippines. MY APPROACH Revised the Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement) Corrected the errors in the format of the financial statements, ensuring that they were clear, accurate, and professionally presented. Revised the proposed project costs and other figures to reflect more precise and justifiable estimated costs based on the data gathered. Revised the Financial Analysis Conducted a thorough financial analysis, which included recalculating the financial ratios such as net profit margin, return on investment, and payback period to provide a more realistic financial outlook for the project. Timely Delivery Completed the project on time since it is an urgent task that needs to be submitted the next day. RESULTS RESULTS RESULTS The revised financial section of the feasibility study was comprehensive, accurate, and aligned with the professor’s requirements. The financial statements were formatted correctly, looked tidy, and more formal. The client was very happy and satisfied with the revised output, which was submitted on time.
