I worked as an appointment setter for a property investment company based in Farmersville, Texas. In this job, I basically do cold calling different leads from Texas, Ohio, Wyoming, and Utah, and qualify them as hot, warm, or cold. We looked for people who are willing to sell their residential or commercial property. In this job, I was able to learn and use keenly the four pillars namely timeline, motivation, condition of the house, and price. Another thing I learned from this job was an idea of how to make an offer for a particular property based on its condition on roofing, kitchen, flooring, foundation and etc. Platforms such as Podio, Google suite, and Xencall were also used on performing this job.
I had 2 years of work experience in the BPO industry in taking inbound calls for order entry and customer service. I also had another year in the same industry taking inbound calls as technical support for COMCAST. In this industry, I was able to learn a lot about how to do sales and as well as the right approach in handling customer concerns.
I also spent 2 years working as an English tutor to Chinese students online. Apart from teaching English online, I also worked as an IELTS (International English Language Testing System) trainer in one of the review centers here in my place where I focused on helping my students improve their LISTENING, and SPEAKING skills.
