At the start of my university career, I created the blog, My Camping and Hiking Tips. To make this site a success, I had to learn affiliate marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), WordPress blogging, content creation, and social media page building. At one point in the journey, I failed to make any posts for a period of four months. While this mistake cost me traffic and set me back, the error helped me to realize consistent, high quality effort is an essential for any long term project to be successful. Since the blog's inception, I have grown the site to 1300 visitors per month, 50 search engine clicks a day, and written over 150 different types of blog posts. The journey has not been an easy one juggling school, family, friends, internships, and research projects, but I have repeatedly demonstrated my ability to multitask while delivering high quality content.

Through my coursework at UCSC, I learned to critically read dense texts and synthesize complex ideas into tens of well-articulated essays. I visited professors’ and teacher assistants’ office hours to work with them to polish and refine papers to perfection. When I interned in the District Office of Assemblymember Evan Low, I connected to constituents on a personal level by writing heart felt letters to let them know their voice has been heard and further honed my writing skills.
