Alejandro Rodriguez Torres

If journalism were the last Coca-Cola in the desert, I would report on why and how. I am currently studying the seventh semester of social communication-journalism at the Externado University of Colombia, while I advance a semester of a master's degree in political communication.

Passion led me to put a magnifying glass on power, science and data analysis, so I would like to dedicate myself to journalism from within. He took courses in marketing, creative writing, Adobe Suite, and data science to deepen practical knowledge. And thanks to my experience at the International Environmental Film Festival in 2019 and my work as an academic monitor in 2022, I have changed my way of understanding oral and written communication, persuasion, communication strategies; editing and proofreading of texts; and the management of social networks.

I am curious and a voracious reader of literature, philosophy, politics, and science. For five years, I have focused my intellectual effort on understanding the great writers and journalists of Colombia and the world. I once thought of reaching his level, but I preferred to understand that I am standing on the shoulders of giants (paraphrasing Newton), maintaining my sense of ethics, justice, tolerance and compassion.
