COMPOSITIONS AND AWARDS
My compositional work includes electronic music for recorded media alone and
with live performers, and a significant body of music for live performers alone as
well. I have composed music for concert, theatre, dance, video and CD-ROM.
Among my theatre credits are music for Laura Farabaugh's “Femme Fatale”; a
collaboration with mime Peter Kors, “Mummermusic”; and “Those Long
Canadian Winters”, for composer-performer with costume designed by artist
Peter Veres. Work for video includes music for a play broadcast on cable, “Houses
of Mud and Rock”, and music for a prize-winning instructional video, “West
Meets East”. Works for dance include “And the Winner Is....” and “Ohio”,
commissioned by dancer Karen Attix. The electronic work "Nagasaki" was
awarded a prize at the Bourges Festival in 1983, and a work for two pianos,
"Marrying Music" was Winner of "Diploma and Medal" from the 3rd ViottiValsesia International Music Competition in 1983. I have been recipient of grants
from the American Composers Forum, the American Music Center, and from
"Meet the Composer". A complete list of principal works is available upon
