Akram Mohammed Ali Qasem

I’m a passionate and self-driven software engineer with a strong foundation in backend development and a growing interest in full-stack technologies. I specialize in Python and Django, and I have hands-on experience building scalable, real-world applications. My journey into software engineering began with a curiosity to understand how things work under the hood — from how APIs communicate, to how databases store and retrieve data efficiently.

Over time, I’ve developed and contributed to several projects, including mobile and web-based systems. One project I’m especially proud of involved building the backend for a mobile app that connects users with local store offers based on their location and behavior. In this project, I was responsible for designing the database schema, building REST APIs using Django Rest Framework, implementing JWT authentication, and managing user roles. I also worked with geolocation filtering, background tasks, and dynamic notifications — which allowed me to explore more advanced backend concepts.

In addition to Django, I’m comfortable working with PostgreSQL, Docker, Git, and RESTful API design. I’ve also explored frontend development using basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as cross-platform app development using Flutter, which has helped me better understand how different parts of a system interact.

What sets me apart is my mindset: I’m a problem-solver who learns quickly and enjoys challenges. I love breaking down complex requirements into manageable parts, writing clean and reusable code, and continuously improving based on feedback. I value teamwork, clear communication, and believe that great software is the result of thoughtful design and collaborative effort.

I’m currently looking for a software engineering opportunity where I can contribute meaningfully, learn from experienced engineers, and work on products that make a real impact. I’m especially drawn to roles that involve backend logic, APIs, system design, and scalable architecture — but I’m always open to learning and working across the stack when needed.
