PROFESSIONAL PROFILE
Although I qualified as an Engineer, and then spent my earlier years in Marketing and Banking, much of my work life, has been spent as a Teacher and Tutor (Yrs 2000 – 2018). This was due to my seeking to be a problem solver to weak students and the satisfaction I derived from this. However, in 2018, I made a comeback to Marketing and Sales. I was engaged as a Sales Executive for one of the foremost HMO’s in Nigeria – HCI Healthcare. The job gave me the impetus to drive a comeback to sales and marketing, which was my first work assignment when I started my career in 1990.
I have always been a creative problem solver and I am looking for the right organization in which my versatile skills will be put to best use in a pleasant work environment that gives priority to excellence and equity.

November 2024 - Date
◦ • Sales Consultant (KAPWA Solutions)- Lead a team in generating leads, implementing email marketing strategies, and closing deals for KAPWA Solutions in Spain.

August 2022 – DateTeam Lead Telesales. (HCI Healthcare Ltd). The Telesales team was given a target of N1 Billion and a mandate to develop an outreach to the Blue chip segment of our B2B Market. Sales of N200 million were achieved with almost all of the N200 million coming through my personal effort. This resulted from changes I made to our pitch and a cadence for regular follow up which yielded fruit.
August 2018 – 2022 Sales Executive. (HCI Healthcare Ltd). I sold Health plans to companies in the B2B segment of the market and to some B2C clients. Total sales was about N50 Million
November 2011 – August 2018 Private Tutor. I taught Math, Physics and
Further Math. I handled mainly students in years 10 & 11. The curriculum studied included Nigerian (WAEC and JAMB), British (IGCSE) and American (SAT)
January 2010 – November 2011:Physics teacher. At Yaba College of Technology Secondary School (a model school) where I successfully took the students through High School exams with all garnering good grades.
January 2000 – December 2009:Physics and Mathematics Private Tutor in several learning Centers. Majority of the students came to attend remedial lectures for High School exams and University Matriculation exams.
June 1996 – December 1999: I set up and ran an organization - Student Counselling Services, providing motivational and mentoring services to Secondary School Students.
August 1993 – May 1996: Operations Assistant. NIB (Citibank Nigeria) Ltd. I worked in the Funds Transfer and General Internal Services Dept. I handled issuance of Drafts and posted transactions for clearing and simultaneously handled supervision of all Security and Junior Staff in the Kano Branch and served as Data Centre London referral person. I also handled Premises upkeep. I received 2 merit awards reserved for the top best performing staff.
December 1990 – August 1993: Marketing Executive. Drury Industries Ltd. (Kano Branch) (Chemical Sales Executive). I sold Sulphuric Acid and Alum to Manufacturers, Water Board and Retailers in the Northern Market. I was responsible for Relationship Management with Katsina State and Kano State Government and about half of other major customers though there were 5 Marketing staff in the Depot.
October 1988 – September 1989: N.Y.S.C. A. J Sewards Nig. Ltd. Lagos . I worked in the Research and Development Laboratory developing new cosmetics.
1988 - Industrial Trainee I had Industrial attachment at Unilever Lagos. I worked at the Vegetable Oil Refining Plant and was a part of the team that succeeded in reducing production cycle time from 40 hours to 13 hours. This led to substantial savings to the company.
1985 –Industrial Trainee.. I had Industrial attachment at Shell Petroleum Development Company Port Harcourt. I worked in the Reservoir Engineering Department and while there I developed a computer software program that automated the manual process of Well Site data collation and saved time and effort.
