Hi, I’m Akinlolu. For the past two years, I’ve worked as a customer service representative, and I’ve come to see this role as far more than just answering questions or resolving tickets. To me, it’s about being the bridge between a company and the people it serves. A company's growth and progress often stems from the feedbacks it receives from customers who uses its products.

Every interaction is a chance to turn a frustrated moment into a relief, or a simple question into genuine delight. I’ve learned that listening is just as important as solving. Often, what a customer really needs is to feel heard and valued before the technical fix even begins. My job is to translate their emotion into action while remaining calm when they’re stressed, clear when they’re confused, and empathetic no matter the situation.

Over time, I have honed a few core skills: empathy, active listening, adaptability and a thick skin wrapped in a soft heart. I can navigate complex billing systems, troubleshoot software issues or process a return but my real satisfaction comes from ending a call or chat with the customer feeling better than when they started. I’m proud of my ability to de-escalate conflict and find creative solutions within company policy.

Outside of work, I’m an avid puzzle solver and a football player; both hobbies that require precision, troubleshooting, and a calm approach when things don’t go according to plan. These same traits help me show up for customers every day.

Ultimately, I believe good customer service is not a script. It’s respect. It’s honesty when I do not have an answer yet. And it’s the commitment to follow through until I do. "How may I assist you today?"
