My name is oluwakemi Ajibua, presently am a student at Ekiti state university in Nigeria.
While growing up I loved ( I still do) reading story books, watching movies, anything entertaining in general. Then whenever I watch a movie or read a books i would run to my neighbors to narrate it to them. Am a drama queen, so I used to demonstrate and exaggerate while narrating it to them, atimes I lied just to spice up the story.
When I got to middle school, I wanted to write but my parents saw writing as a patched up career and somehow influenced me to see it as a talent and not a career. So i joined the press club in my school and started writing storys in my notepad with the hope of publishing it someday.
During my first year in highschool,I was picked as one of the officials of the school press club and I was finally made the president in my final year. I and my teammates worked together to take the school press club to a higher level. We started publishing updates on Entertainment outside and within the school to capture the attention of the students,we organised programs "readers day" to encourage our audience and enlighten them on the importance of writing. We were also able to get rid of information that could distroy the self esteem of fellow students, My team and I recorded the highest sold out magazines at the end of the school year,
When I got into the university I wanted to work part-time at the school press but unfortunately Its meant for students in their final year but I hope for that position when I get there. since I couldn't get into the school press, I started selling out poems, love letters and short notes I write, I also wrote official letter in exchange for money. I would say I have a some experience in writing,I may not have work for blogs or respectable website but am looking forward to that.
When I couldn't get into the school press team,I decided to start my first novel on wattpad tittled " patched reminant", it's talks about rape, domestic violence and child Abuse. Working with you, I hope to do more.
