Working with Uganda Telecom Nov 2007 to May2010 1- Web & application designer : A- I’ve developed WebPages for different departments: HR, Network Survey, and network monitoring. B- Assisting the billing team on extracting different queries form oracle data base related to interconnect and roaming fields. 2- In time of roll over with new billing system I was the head person to implement interconnects and roaming software provided by the vendor Techno Tree. A- After different trainings I had with the new billing vendor on the interconnect and roaming billing system, I become the key person who is Responsible of interconnection and roaming billing system: B- Configurations: after signing the agreement at the commercial side, and after getting go ahead from technical department, my role was to communicate with the core network team to make sure the number of E1s/connectivity’s parameters are implemented according to the agreement been singed off. Then to configure those parameters in the billing system like: trunk names, rates, agreement start date, IOTs, services allowed …. To make sure the cdrs will be rated/priced in the right way. C- Rating, pricing: for the billing & reconciliation purposes, rates have to be accurate according to the rates agreed on (either with roaming partners IOT or interconnect partners/carriers) to make sure the invoices will be shared are correct as much as possible. D- Clearing the rejected CDRs: by looking at the different reasons of the rejection at the billing system. With communications with different concerned departments, rejected cdrs has to be cleared/ rated to be included in the invoice to eliminate the loss as much as possible. E- Providing the weekly/ monthly reports to the billing team and concerned stakeholders on roaming and interconnect traffic business. F- Solving the disputes by looking at the oracle database and extracting the needed information for the investigation and making the comparison with the figures received from the partner. G- Working hand by hand with Fraud team for any investigation related to fraud. H- I was a key person to implement the new billing system (roaming and interconnect part) with the vendor (Techno Tree) in 2008. Where we had an intensive trainings on the whole billing system parts including customer care, postpaid and production parts of it. I- Upgrading the billing system with the vendor from time to time to clear some bugs in the system. J- Monitoring the LCR according to the rates received from different carriers to make sure the rates are in-line with marketing team’s strategies. K- Used to work on Oracle database to extract the data which can build clear information for investigation purposes. 3- From- A- Promoted to be “International business manager” which responsible of interconnection and roaming. B- Having new key roaming partners’ agreement negotiated /implemented. C- Having interconnected agreements with the key operators (domestic & international). D- Building business cases with different partners/vendors for different services which can boost the revenue. E- Responsible for interconnect and roaming revenue growth by looking at the key partners and its revenue stream to increase the revenue and cut the cost as much as possible. F- Negotiating the rates with different carriers (voice & SMS) to get competitive rates for marking team and tore duce the cost in the same time. G- Working closely with the fraud and risk management team to eliminate/avoid unnecessary revenue loss. H- Monitoring the traffic trend daily/Weekly and Monthly and reporting accordingly to the EXCO team. I- Building a statistics /deep analysis on the traffic trend and summit /negotiate them with EXCO team to make sure the growth of the revenue and also to build a clear strategies with clear picture for the management . J- Working with the IT/Technical closely to make sure services availabilities, quality control and implementations are done in time as planned. K- Agreement negotiated with FCH/DCH for roaming to make sure we get lowest cost with reliable DCH/FCH to make sure the services are smoothly been delivered to the Roaming partners. L- Reconciliations are the part of my job also to make sure the figures are matched with the interconnect partners. M- Monitoring the signaling with the roaming signaling providers to make sure the stability and quality of the links are as requested. N- Monitoring the quality KPIs with the voice/SMS carriers/hubs. O- Negotiating interconnects and roaming agreements and the capacity needed with the satellite providers. P- Delivery reports and strategies to EXCO team and traffic trends reports and contributing on the strategies inputs. Q- Working with SIM box detectors to avoid the revenue loss. Working with GEMTEL south Sudan May2010 up to Feb2016 Working as interconnect and roaming manager with the same responsibilities of international business manager (as per the task assigned at UTL herein above). And my responsibilities are : 1- Interconnect and roaming agreements: negotiating the agreements with the interconnect and roaming partners (connection, rates,etc.) . 2- Reconciling the traffic at the end of each billing period with the interconnect 3- Weekly/monthly report to be summited to EXCO team. 4- Building and monitoring the LCR (low cost routing) for the rates received from the carriers. 5- Following up with the technical team any fault/outages concerns interconnect and roaming part. 6- Communicating with finance and marketing team for what is related to the business of interconnection and roaming. 7- Roaming IOT negotiation. 8- Dealing with data/finance clearing house. 9- Supervising IREG/TADIG team to have roaming partner connected/launched. 10- Rates negotiations with voice carriers to get better rates/quality. 11- Monitoring daily bases the traffic trend for interconnection 7 Roaming. 12- Discussing and negotiating the business case with vendors for the services they provide for what is related to interconnect and roaming and summit the business case to EXCO. 13- Reporting/working with LAP Green interconnect & roaming department for fixing the strategies and monitoring the traffic/revenue for roaming and interconnect. These sites are distributed in more than 115 miles diameter. 2- Responsible of sales in these areas (Airtime /Sim cards,etc.). 3- Dealing with all officials in these areas for whatever related to the government’s issues/regulator including the commissioners of the counties. 4- Managing the main station (administration matters) where we have 19 staff (engineers and technicians). 5- Weekly/monthly reports for all sites and sales opportunities + dealers.
