In the production Engineering department we focus on four fields. Mechanical design,
Manufacturing, Quality and Industrial Engineering. A student graduates able to work in any of the
mentioned fields Studying in the departments adds a lot of skills to me as a student, specially
working under pressure.

APRIL-2017 – JUN-2019
Mukhtalifstore.com was a startup online store that sells customizable products for various
purposes. My role was to build and manage the E-commerce website, manage social media
advertising and contact the customers, design laser cut products and providing supplies and
other logistics work.
Trainee | Zahraan
29-JUL-2017 – 3-AUG-2017
It was a 2weeks training in which we were introduced to everything in details in the stainless steel
and Tefal factory. The most wonderful part was when we had the chance to move freely in the
factory and ask whomever we want about whatever we need to know about.

In the training period, we were introduced so briefly to the basics of the petrochemicals industry.
Mechanical Designer| Mind Cloud technical team - Faculty of Engineering
FEB-2017– MAY-2017
Mind cloud is a technical team participating in national and international robotics competitions.
My role was to work with a team on a mechanism that allows a wheeled vehicle to climb high
obstacles (1m and higher).

JUL-2017 – 10 DAYS TRAINING
The training was in two parts. First is an HR training which was a very powerful and Productive
program that helped to develop my soft skills such as presenting and communication and many
other and also changed our minds about getting deep in businesses and Entrepreneurship. The
2nd one was technical which aimed at giving us the most important needed knowledge in the
Cement Industry.
There was a final project in which we introduced everything we learned in the training in a
creative way in front of the high-level managers of the company.

It was a good opportunity to learn about the world of power generation. And the process of
installing, operating and maintenance of such stations. As well as some advanced technologies
used in the manufacturing of turbines and other equipment. The training took place in the new
Abu Qir Station in Alexandria, Egypt.
Competitor | LMR 2016 Competition
JUL-2016 – OCT-2016
Participated with a team of five students in LMR 16 (let’s make a robot) which is a robotics
competition held in Faculty of Engineering Alexandria University, Egypt. The task was to
design and fabricate a robot to do multiple tasks. The main achievement was to make a
working one using our very limited resources using our engineering skills which was a
challenge I do think we learned a lot from it.

ACTIVITIES
A great part of my skills was developed in the students volunteering activities. As it is designed to
simulate the real life work experience with all the pressure involved. Most of my volunteering
experience is in PED pioneers, a volunteer team founded by a group of students of the
Department of Production and Industrial Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt. The team
main quest wat to be an effective part in the process of developing the department by helping
students with the academic content and bringing the academic study closer to the labor market,
activities associated with the academic side of the department or related to the soft skills of the
students, introducing the department to the preparatory students with its advantages and
disadvantages and enhancing the contact between the students and the faculty members. The
team also participates in other social activities such as orphan day and Renew your blood which is
a Blood donation campaign held in the faculty of engineering and as a part of the team I was one

of the board responsible of the two events. I’ve been in serval positions in the team as listed
below.

SEP-2018 – PRESENT
Being in such a position starts with making a detailed year plan and then run for the elections in
which each competitor presents his plan in front of the team members so that they choose the
best for the position. This year plan was centered on two main goals, 1st to get the team events
more involved in the labor market, 2nd to keep the members spirit high through the year. Working
with my vice and the board team we could accomplish the most out of the plan.

I was in charge of the committee that handles all on site work including onsite marketing,
decoration and event organizing. Although it is responsible of managing the team logistics which
includes providing the team with all the material needed and all the printings and other supply’s
needed.

I was an active member of the committee in which I participated as an organizer in all the events
held in this period and also participated in the prevent preparation. Working in the committee
involves a lot of team work and a lot of contacting with people as an organizer in an event, which
enhanced my communication, presentation and team work skills.
