McLaren Times was a paid commercial project developed for McLaren College. It involved developing a news
reader mobile app and a website focused on the tech community.
●
Over 6 months we developed an iOS app, Android app and a website. We used the official Hacker News REST API
to get the stories and used Firebase Cloud functions to crawl the web pages and update our Firebase database.
●
The app allowed users to submit dynamic content like images and story titles to personalize the content.
●
My focus was developing the cloud functions and managing the upvote/downvote comments.

I used encapsulation to keep the game logic separate from UI code. This means, for example, the same game
logic can be used for running the game in the console.

This is a website to browse and search popular movies and view posters and trailer videos
Implemented search using a 3rd Party REST API and used routing and pagination to load 10 movies at a time.
