Abel Merawi

I am Abel Merawi, a versatile professional with a diverse range of skills and experiences. As a freelance journalist, I have contributed to both Ezega Magazine from 2019 to 2022 and Msingiafrika Magazine from 2022 to 2024, writing numerous articles on a wide array of topics. I have a proven track record of producing high-quality content, having written over 80 articles during my tenure.

In addition to my journalism background, I have a strong foundation in education. As an English and Literature Instructor at the International School in Ethiopia since 2012, I have taught students from 1st to 12th grade, with a focus on high school education. I have also taught in colleges and Language and Volunteer Centers, developing teaching materials such as syllabi and textbooks.

Furthermore, I have utilized my language skills as a freelance translator and research assistant for various local and international entities. I am proficient in translating between Amharic and English languages and have actively engaged in research projects to support the translation process.

My educational background includes a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) from Addis Ababa University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Language and Literature. Additionally, I have enhanced my skill set with a certificate in Adobe Photoshop.

With a native command of Amharic and a high level of proficiency in English, I am adept at effective communication, both spoken and written. I possess strong teamwork and research abilities, complemented by my expertise in translation and designing.
