Abdul Moiz

I am a dedicated and driven undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Data Science at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST). With a strong foundation in programming, data analysis, and machine learning, I have developed a passion for solving real-world problems through the power of data and intelligent systems.

Over the past few semesters, I have worked on a range of academic and personal projects that demonstrate both technical skill and creative problem-solving. My recent project on Skin Cancer Prediction using Machine Learning involved building classification models using Random Forest and SVM to identify cancer types from dermatological image data. I handled all stages of the workflow, including preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, and model evaluation using performance metrics and visualizations. In another key project, Credit Card Fraud Detection, I explored the challenges of working with highly imbalanced datasets. By applying techniques like PCA for dimensionality reduction and training various models, I achieved insightful results while enhancing my understanding of classification performance metrics.

Beyond machine learning, I’ve delved into data engineering and SQL with a project analyzing Socio-Economic Trends in Pakistan, where I created and queried a custom MySQL database using World Bank indicators. I also implemented the Mastermind AI game that uses logical reasoning and pruning to efficiently guess secret codes, showcasing my interest in AI and algorithm design.

In addition to Python, I am proficient in C++ and have built object-oriented systems like a Library Management System and a Shop Management System, focusing on real-world operations, CRUD functionalities, and file handling for persistent storage.

My certifications from IBM, DeepLearning.AI, and Coursera reflect a commitment to continuous learning in areas like business intelligence, AI ethics, and machine learning specialization. I am comfortable using industry tools like Power BI, Tableau, Git, Excel, and development environments like Jupyter Notebook and Google Colab.

With strong communication, logical reasoning, and an analytical mindset, I aim to work in roles where I can contribute to data-driven decision-making and technological innovation. Whether it’s developing intelligent systems or uncovering patterns from data, I am eager to apply my skills in a professional environment, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and grow as a data professional.
