As a data scientist and engineer with a background in mechatronics, I bring over five years of experience building end-to-end data solutions and deploying machine learning models into production. At Academic Work (March 2024–present) I develop and deploy machine learning models and pipelines using AWS services including SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions and QuickSight. I containerise solutions with EKS, build production-ready infrastructure with Terraform and translate complex DB2 SQL logic to Athena for migration projects. I also implement CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions and optimise AWS resources.
From January 2023 to March 2024 I worked as an IT consultant at Vertbaudet Germany GmbH where I conducted extensive data analyses and predictive modeling using Snowflake and Dataiku, executed complex queries on Oracle SQL Server and Google BigQuery, and managed data migrations from BigQuery to Oracle using Talend. Previously, as a data analyst at Modis GmbH (Jan 2022–Dec 2022) I delivered data cleaning, analysis, visualisation and dashboards with Grafana, implemented data-driven decision making using machine learning, and handled data extraction and transformation with Amazon S3 and AWS Glue. Earlier roles include data processing and test automation at Bertrandt Ingenieurbüro GmbH and a bachelor thesis and internship at MAN Truck & Bus SE.
I hold a B.Sc. in Mechatronics from TU Ilmenau and certifications in Data Science/Engineering, AWS re/Start and Data Engineering. I am fluent in German (C1), English (B2) and Arabic (native) and have basic French. My technical skills include Python, SQL, Terraform, AWS services (SageMaker, Glue, Lambda, EKS, QuickSight, S3, EC2), Snowflake, Dataiku, Oracle SQL Server, BigQuery, Talend, Grafana, Docker, Machine Learning and CI/CD. I enjoy working with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into scalable data solutions and deliver actionable insights.
