Profile
Highly motivated and goal-oriented young professional, committed to pursuing a long term
career as an iOS Developer where one can apply the technical skills acquired and challenge
the mind of an individual in a growth oriented environment.
Experience
iOS Contributor, Topcoder.com – 2014-Present
Helps with software development challenges, specifically for iOS. The apps developed are for
both the iPhone and iPad. These challenges involve the use of REST web services, integrating
third party APIs (Ex. alamofire), camera implementation, custom animations and UI elements.
Engineering Technician, Tamura Corp of America; Escondido, CA – Nov 2013-Nov 2016
Work directly with Design Engineer and help out with revising schematics, assembly
drawings, building prototype units, and testing/troubleshooting prototype units (including DVT
testing). Other duties carried out, among other things, are writing test programs for Chroma
ATE system, setup/maintenance of lab, ordering parts from BOM or lab equipment, BOM
costing, traveling to manufacturing site to provide support to manufacturing team, and make
testing fixtures with minimal instructions from engineers. The tools used to accomplish these
tasks are an oscilloscope, multi-meter, variable power supply, signal generator, LCR meter,
power meter, variac, microscope, soldering iron, Chroma test program editor, mechanical
tools (i.e. drill, drill press, band saw, etc.), Microsoft Office, and OrCAD software tools
(Schematic Capture, PSPICE, and PCB Editor).
iOS Developer, Boomspur – August-September 2015
Helped development team with final touches of their iOS app. This involved connecting backend services, making UI changes to incorporate Auto-Layout and make the app look modern,
use of Adobe Illustrator to make UI elements, and resolving bugs.
iOS Developer, Contribution App – May-June 2015
Created and app for a friend of mine. The purpose of the app was to keep track of those
helping out in the contribution area and also to find out who was going to volunteer at a later
time. It interfaced with a remote database of names and contact info of these people. The app
kept track of people by reading QR code on their name tag. Since this was for my friend and
was supposed to be handled by a small amount of people, the app was never to be published
on the App Store.
Electronic Technician, CTDI; Vista, CA -
Main task was to troubleshoot at component level and repair set top boxes from company
clients (major cable TV providers). The tools used were oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers,
and multimeters to analyze the analog, digital and RF circuitry of units and diagnose the
problem. A soldering iron and heat gun were used to repair the damaged components
(through hole and SMD). Was able to troubleshoot effectively although minimal training was
provided due to the lack of senior technicians; passed the knowledge obtained to new
technicians. In order to effectively troubleshoot units the schematics for each model,
assembly drawings, and electrical theory were used.
RMA Technician, Quake Global; San Diego, CA -
Responsible for troubleshooting at a component level analog, digital, and RF circuitry of
customer returned units. Also maintained detailed documents for each returned unit, which
contained detailed information as to what the problem was, the root cause of the problem,
and how to prevent the problem from occurring again. Was able to reduce turn around time
for customer returned units down to 6 days, kept all paper work organized, and kept up to
date records of all returned units (mapped common failures for each model, each quarter and
manufacturing date). Other duties taken care of were setup/maintenance of repair lab and
production areas, and calibrate test stations. Multitask we in order to help other departments
with prototype assembly/disassembly, wire harness assembly, and troubleshooting of
prototype PCBs. Also provided feedback for assembly or schematic changes. The tools
commonly used were an ATE, multi-meter, oscilloscope, power supply, spectrum analyzer,
signal generator, microscope, soldering iron, and Microsoft office.
Electronics Technician 1, Cobham; San Diego, CA -
Tuned and aligned circuitry into specification compliance by adjusting and modifying circuit
elements precise fine movements. Other tasks carried out were calibrating test stations and
identifying potential production issues, including manufacturing defects, troubleshooting at
component level and drafting recommendations. Due to quick and effective testing and
troubleshooting, was able to help company catch up on orders that were a few months
behind. The tools used on a day to day basis were a microscope, vector and scalar network
analyzer, and multi meter.
