I’m looking for a skilled video editor who can also help shape and curate content for my YouTube channel and social media.
This role is not just about editing — it’s about turning long-form recordings into clear, engaging tutorials and documentary-style tech videos.
About the Content
- Tech tutorials and walkthroughs
- Building projects (e.g. “Building a New Robot to…”)
- Developer tools, workflows, and experiments (e.g. “How to Use Cursor”)
- Screen recordings and live sessions that are 1–4 hours long
- I add markers during recording to highlight important moments
Editing Style References The editing style should be clean, modern, and engaging, similar to channels such as:
- Optimum
- Nick Saraev
- Alex Hormozi
You don’t need to copy these exactly, but you should be comfortable with fast-paced cuts, clear visual emphasis, and editing that keeps technical content engaging.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Generate video ideas based on my work, recordings, and current tech trends
- Outline or script videos and pass them to me for review/approval
- Edit long-form recordings into YouTube videos
- Create short-form clips (Shorts, Reels, etc.) from long-form content
- Add clean cuts, pacing, zooms, callouts, and on-screen text
- Create or source visual assets (graphics, overlays, b-roll where helpful)
- Upload and publish content
- Write titles, descriptions, and handle basic YouTube SEO
- Help maintain consistent quality and style across platforms
Communication & Language (Very Important)
- Fluent spoken and written English is required
- You must be comfortable holding live vocal conversations (calls)
- Clear communication and the ability to discuss ideas verbally is essential
- Applicants based in Thailand are a strong plus
What I’m Looking For
- Strong experience editing long-form content
- A portfolio of relevant video work is required (YouTube links preferred)
- Comfortable working with screen recordings and tutorials
- Able to think like a content creator, not just an editor
- Good sense of pacing, clarity, and storytelling
- Familiarity with YouTube best practices
- Self-directed, organized, and reliable
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Background in tech, programming, or engineering
- Experience with educational or documentary-style content
- Motion graphics experience
Tools & AI Usage
- Use whatever tools you’re best with (Premiere, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc. but Davinci is preferred!)
- Using AI tools is completely fine if it improves quality and speed
- I’m open to covering AI credits or usage costs if they meaningfully improve the work
- I care about results and quality, not how you get there
How to Apply
Please include:
- Examples of YouTube videos you’ve edited
- Any experience with tutorials, documentaries, or tech content
