We are looking for a Supplier Connection Developer with strong backend and integration experience to build and maintain connections between external suppliers and our e-commerce systems.
This role is ideal for a hands-on backend engineer who has personally integrated multiple suppliers/data sources using APIs, XML, CSV, SFTP/FTP, or similar data-transfer methods.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain individual supplier integrations using APIs, XML, CSV, SFTP/FTP, and other file-transfer methods
Import and transform supplier product, variant, pricing, and inventory data
Develop product-data mapping and normalization rules for different supplier structures
Clean, validate, and standardize incoming supplier data before it reaches production systems
Handle different supplier formats, schemas, naming conventions, SKUs, variants, categories, prices, and stock structures
Build reliable synchronization processes for product and inventory data
Identify and resolve issues with malformed, incomplete, inconsistent, or changing supplier feeds
Implement safeguards against unexpected supplier format or schema changes
Monitor integrations and ensure data errors are detected before incorrect information reaches the live shop
Troubleshoot failed imports, data mismatches, and supplier connection issues
Work closely with backend and e-commerce systems to ensure accurate product and inventory synchronization
What We're Looking For
Required:
4+ years of backend development experience
Strong Node.js, PostgreSQL and TypeScript experience
Proven hands-on experience integrating at least 5 different suppliers or external data sources
Experience working with multiple supplier/data-feed formats such as:
XML
CSV
SFTP
FTP
REST APIs / JSON
Other structured data-transfer methods
Practical experience with product-data mapping and transformation
Experience handling product variants, SKUs, pricing, categories, and inventory/stock data
Strong understanding of data validation, error handling, and integration reliability
Important
We are specifically looking for someone with real-world, hands-on experience integrating multiple suppliers/data feeds and transforming their data into a reliable format for an e-commerce environment.
