Role: Senior Backend Engineer
Level: 6+ years experience
Environment: Remote | Production-scale systems
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services
- Architect APIs and service integrations
- Own production deployments and system reliability
- Optimize performance and improve system architecture
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
- Strong backend experience (Node.js or similar)
- Deep understanding of REST APIs and service architecture
- Database expertise (SQL/NoSQL, indexing, performance tuning)
- Cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience handling production incidents
- Clear communication and systems thinking
- Experience with microservices
- CI/CD pipeline exposure
- Monitoring/logging tools knowledge
