The Regional Implementation Manager leads Implementation Team Leads and Senior Implementation Consultants to successfully onboard new clients onto Global Payroll Outsourcing and SaaS solutions. This role ensures all implementations are automated, standardized, compliant, and delivered within scope and timelines.

The position holds regional accountability (e.g., EMEA, APAC) for implementation delivery, stakeholder engagement, automation adoption, and structured transition from implementation to Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations.

  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional implementation team.
  • Allocate resources based on workload, expertise, and project complexity.
  • Conduct workforce planning and resource forecasting across concurrent projects.
  • Apply governance models (RACI, milestone tracking, risk logs) to ensure accountability.
  • Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and career development planning.
  • Align implementation strategy with broader business and program objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding of new global payroll and SaaS clients.
  • Ensure implementations follow standardized, automated methodologies aligned to scope.
  • Enforce use of automated workflows, API-driven integrations, and system configuration standards.
  • Oversee data collection, automated migration, testing, parallel runs, and go-live readiness.
  • Ensure statutory, regulatory, and audit compliance across all implementations.
  • Provide hands-on leadership for complex projects and act as final escalation point.
  • Establish and maintain structured governance frameworks.
  • Serve as regional escalation point for high-impact or cross-functional issues.
  • Lead steering committees, status reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Manage scope, risk, budget, and timeline control.
  • Track client success metrics including satisfaction, adoption, and go-live performance.
  • Ensure smooth transition to BAU teams and long-term client continuity.
  • Drive adoption of standardized implementation frameworks.
  • Maintain centralized documentation systems (e.g., Monday.com).
  • Collaborate with Product/IT on API integrations and automation enhancements.
  • Lead initiatives to eliminate manual processes and increase data accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, audit, and internal compliance standards.
  • Continuously enhance implementation models leveraging emerging technologies, including AI.
  • Monitor KPIs: time-to-value, automation levels, SLA adherence, and go-live success rates.
  • Conduct monthly business reviews and regional performance assessments.
  • Identify improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Partner with Training teams to upskill staff in automation, SaaS best practices, and compliance.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and structured learning initiatives.
  • 10+ years of experience in global payroll outsourcing
  • 5+ years in payroll implementation, professional services, or client onboarding
  • 3+ years leading global payroll implementations
  • Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll regulations and compliance
  • Expertise in SaaS payroll systems, API integrations, and workflow automation
  • Experience driving automation and process standardization initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Certifications such as CIPP, CPP, PMP, or Six Sigma are advantageous
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, Jira, Confluence, Monday.com
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools to improve operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, multi-country environments with regional accountability
