MIT Project Manager full time

JMO Communications HQ: New York, New York, United States Remote job Apr 13

JMO Communications is looking for a precision-oriented MIT Project Manager to join our team. If you are the kind of person who finds deep satisfaction in a perfectly executed Gantt chart and loves the "delivery" phase more than the "pitch" phase, you’ll fit right in.

This is a non-sales role. Your focus is entirely on the "how"—taking client visions and turning them into operational reality. You will be the engine room of our client projects, ensuring that every deliverable is met with quality, every stakeholder is in the loop, and every deadline is respected.

The Role at a Glance

As an MIT Project Manager, you are responsible for the end-to-end execution of client projects. You aren't just watching the clock; you’re driving the results. You will manage the lifecycle of a project from the initial kickoff through to the final deliverable, ensuring the client experience is seamless and the operational output is elite.

Core Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Execution: Lead full project rollouts from initiation through completion. You own the workflow and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Timeline & Milestone Management: Develop and maintain project schedules. You are the guardian of the deadline, ensuring deliverables are submitted on time, every time.
  • Stakeholder Orchestration: Act as the central hub for internal teams and external client stakeholders. You ensure everyone knows their role and stays aligned with project goals.
  • Client Experience & Retention: While you aren't selling, you are retaining. By delivering exceptional work and maintaining high-touch communication, you ensure long-term client satisfaction.
  • Quality & Deliverable Implementation: Execute all deliverables outlined in client contracts to the highest quality standards. If it has JMO’s name on it, it must be perfect.
  • Operational Reporting: Maintain rigorous documentation and accurate reporting. You’ll provide the data that shows our projects are on track and performing.
  • Process Optimization: We don't just want you to follow the path; we want you to help us pave it. You’ll identify bottlenecks and support process improvements to increase our operational efficiency.

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, execution-focused professional who consistently prioritizes "getting it done" over just talking about it.

You bring a rigorous operational mindset to the table—genuinely enjoying the structure of systems, checklists, and seamless workflows—while acting as a poised communication pro who can navigate diverse personalities and keep stakeholders calm and informed.

With a detail-oriented eye that catches the small things before they become big problems, you approach every task with a deep sense of accountability, taking full and prideful ownership of every assigned project and its ultimate outcome.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management or operational delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Trello, or Jira).
  • A background in communications or agency environments is a plus, but a "delivery-first" attitude is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment without losing sight of the details.

Note: This role is focused exclusively on project execution and client experience management. It does not involve cold calling, lead generation, or sales targets.
