The Role:

As a Logistics Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the logistics team by accurately inputting, updating, and verifying critical operational information. This includes maintaining inventory records, tracking shipment details, and updating delivery schedules across company databases and spreadsheets.

Your attention to detail will help ensure data integrity and smooth day-to-day logistics operations, directly contributing to strong customer service outcomes and overall operational efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Input: Accurately enter shipment details, inventory levels, and order information into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools
  • Record Verification: Cross-check digital data against physical source documents (e.g., invoices, bills of lading, packing slips) to identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Documentation Management: Scan, file, and archive both paper and digital records to ensure they are easily retrievable for audits or reporting
  • Status Tracking: Update transport schedules and shipment statuses to provide real-time visibility to the broader logistics team and customers.
  • Reporting Support: Assist in generating basic reports on warehouse performance, such as order accuracy or inventory turnover rates.
  • Team Collaboration: Liaise with SEG Logistics team, Installers, freight providers and warehouse staff to resolve missing information or data errors

KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Logistics & Supply Chain Team: Directly support Logistics Coordinators and Managers by processing the essential paperwork (POs, invoices) that keeps operations running.

Warehouse Operations: Coordinate with site operations and storepersons to verify physical stock against digital records

Installers: Liaise with business partners to confirm orders have been received and assist with shipment queries.

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven background in Logistics preffered but not essential
  • Previous experience in an administrative, logistics, warehouse support, data entry or customer service role is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP platforms (such as NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce or similar) or inventory systems is desirable but not essential
  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (basic formulas, sorting, filtering, data checks)
  • Experience handling operational documentation such as invoices, purchase orders, packing slips or transport paperwork is advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet daily processing targets and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills when liaising with logistics teams, installers, freight providers and warehouse staff
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving ability when identifying discrepancies or missing information
  • High level of organisation and reliability with a strong sense of accountability for data accuracy

This role is performed remotely Monday – Friday 8AM – 4PM (AEST) At 40 hours p/w

Also note the role will be paid $6–7 AUD p/h (based on experience and at the discretion of the hiring manager) - As we are an Australian based buinsess.
