The Role
As our Engineering Manager, you’ll take ownership of the entire technical stack — from APIs and data pipelines to automation and AI integration. You’ll design and lead high-impact systems while staying hands-on in the code, setting technical direction, and mentoring a growing team of engineers.
You will:
- Architect and build the end-to-end platform — scalable APIs, data pipelines, and automation services.
- Stay hands-on: write clean, high-quality code (Python, TypeScript, SQL), review PRs, and maintain engineering standards.
- Translate vision into architecture: partner with the CTO and AI leads to design systems for multi-region deployments, dynamic pricing models, and agentic workflows.
- Drive technical strategy: balance fast iteration with robust system design using microservices, event-driven patterns, and CI/CD excellence.
- Oversee integrations: maintain reliable connections with booking channels, communication tools, and fintech gateways.
- Champion reliability and observability: own uptime, security, and performance across regions (Cloudflare WAF, logging, tracing, feature experiments).
- Mentor and scale the team: build a strong engineering culture focused on accountability, automation, and measurable outcomes.

What You Bring
- 7+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ in a team management role
- Strong background in system architecture and cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS)
- Hands-on experience in Python and TypeScript
- Familiarity with AI, automation, or data-intensive systems
- Proven ability to design scalable, event-driven systems
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Travel, hospitality, or proptech experience is a plus
