Become our freelancer to drive our hiking safety and live-tracking app which combines advanced geofencing, off-route alerts, and real-time location sharing to protect hikers, runners, and outdoor enthusiasts. With a database of curated trails, group tracking features, and safety-first innovations like off route alerts and progress monitoring, WayMe empowers individuals and communities to explore confidently the outdoor.
We’re looking for freelance digital content creators to research, document, and design content for famous outdoor routes in countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and the UK. You’ll prepare route descriptions, graphics, and translations for our route library.
· Research popular hiking and outdoor trails in assigned countries
· Document route details (distance, elevation, highlights, difficulty)
· Create banner graphics for each route
· Write clear, engaging route descriptions
· Translate descriptions into local market languages
· Handle GPX files to ensure route accuracy
· Collaborate with the Wayme content team to meet deadlines
· Strong research and writing skills in English
· Ability to translate into at least one local language (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, etc.)
· Basic knowledge of GPX files and outdoor navigation apps
· Experience with design tools (Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator)
· Passion for outdoor activities and trail culture is a plus
· Reliable internet connection and ability to work independently
· A set number of documented routes per week (to be agreed upon)
· Each route must include: GPX file, banner graphic, descriptive text, and translated version
· Content must meet Wayme’s editorial and design guidelines
· Freelance / project‑based engagement
· Compensation per route or per batch of routes (to be discussed)
· Remote work, must be based in Manila or Cebu, Philippines
· Flexible schedule with clear deadlines
