Construction Accounting, Budgeting & Cost Control Consultant hourly

The Group Ltd. is a Grand Cayman-based group of businesses spanning real estate development, media production, live events, and corporate services. Our portfolio includes Monster Media, Beach Living, and Capella Music Festival, among others.

We are looking for an experienced construction accounting and cost control consultant to support active and upcoming development projects across the Cayman Islands. This is a project-based consulting role, not a permanent position. You will work closely with project leadership to ensure financial visibility, budget integrity, and accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts
• Track costs against budget and flag variances early
• Produce clear, accurate financial reports for project stakeholders
• Manage construction-specific accounting including progress billing, retainage, and contractor payments
• Support lender reporting and draw requests where applicable
• Advise on cost control strategies and procurement review

Requirements:

• Proven experience in construction accounting or project cost control
• Familiarity with construction contracts and billing structures (AIA, lump sum, cost-plus)
• Strong reporting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Procore, or similar
• Cayman Islands or Caribbean experience a plus but not required
