Cloud DevOps Engineer - Teaching Role hourly

Company Background: Cloud Engineering Institute helps IT Support, Helpdesk, and Systems Administration professionals transition into high-paying Cloud and DevOps Engineering careers through a structured, hands-on 12-week program.

Role: We're looking for an experienced AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer to lead live instruction for our first student cohort.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Run 2 live 90-minute teaching sessions per week (24 sessions total)
• Review and provide feedback on student project work (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes deployments)
• Answer student questions on core AWS, IaC, containerization, and CI/CD concepts

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Hands-on production experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• AWS certification preferred (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer – Professional)
• Strong communication skills and comfort teaching beginners

Duration: 12 weeks (3 months), 24 total sessions

Pay: Fixed rate of $200 USD per completed session. Paid per session throughout the engagement. Over 24 total sessions that comes out to $4800 USD

Preferred Applicant Location: Open globally, though candidates in the U.S. or compatible timezones are preferred for live session scheduling.
