Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology function and digital strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and scaling mobile and web applications, overseeing website development, and providing strategic leadership to the marketing and digital teams. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Technology and Product Development

• Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of mobile and web applications.

• Define and execute the company’s overall technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.

• Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, and optimised for performance and user experience.

• Select and manage appropriate technology stacks, tools, and third-party vendors.

Web and Digital Presence

• Oversee the development, optimization, and ongoing management of company websites.

• Ensure websites are aligned with brand guidelines, SEO best practices, and user experience standards.

• Maintain high standards of data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Leadership and Management

• Build, manage, and mentor technical, digital, and marketing teams, including developers, designers, and external partners.

• Provide strategic oversight and direction to the marketing team, ensuring strong collaboration between technology and marketing functions.

Marketing and Growth Enablement

• Work closely with the marketing team to support digital marketing initiatives, including performance marketing, analytics, and conversion optimization.

• Ensure technology platforms effectively support customer acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies.

• Leverage data and insights to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in building and scaling mobile and web applications.

• Solid understanding of modern software development practices, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing both in-house and outsourced resources.

• Demonstrated ability to work closely with marketing teams and support digital growth strategies.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Attributes

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role.

• Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment.

• Knowledge of SEO, analytics platforms, and digital marketing technologies.
