This role is integral in managing invoice uploads, reconciliations, and expense tracking to maintain up-to-date financial data. Objectives of this role:
- Support daily accounting operations through accurate data management and invoice uploads
- Maintain financial accuracy and data integrity within the accounting system
- Assist with monthly close processes and reconciliations
- Ensure all financial activities are completed on time and in compliance with internal standards
Responsibilities:
- Upload daily invoices from Google Sheets into the accounting system
- Record and reconcile credit card and bank transactions
- Post and track General & Administrative (G&A) vendor invoices
- Maintain the fixed assets schedule and calculate depreciation
- Update and manage expense trackers and related financial schedules
- Support monthly closing activities through accurate data uploads and reconciliations
- Communicate proactively with team members to resolve discrepancies and meet deadlines
Required skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
- Proficiency in any accounting software (NetSuite preferred; QuickBooks acceptable)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data uploads)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- High integrity and confidentiality when handling financial data
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Experience supporting U.S. accounting or client-based financial operations
- Familiarity with monthly close procedures
- Experience working in a remote accounting environment
- Ability to learn new tools and systems quickly
