Service Summary
The Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate and timely recording, processing, and maintenance of a company's financial transactions and records. This role ensures the business remains compliant with Australian tax obligations and provides the foundational financial data necessary for internal management reporting and external accounting.
Service Deliverables
- Data Entry: Accurately record all daily financial transactions into the accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks Online).
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular (daily/weekly/monthly) reconciliation of all bank, credit card, and other financial accounts to ensure the general ledger matches external statements.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Manage supplier invoices, process bills, and schedule payments to ensure accurate tracking and timely disbursement.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Create and issue sales invoices, monitor outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue customer accounts.
- Australian Tax and Compliance Reporting: BAS, IAS, STP, Super
- Financial Reporting and Support
- Payroll Processing
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Technical Proficiency: High proficiency with Australian-specific accounting software, particularly Xero, MYOB (optional), and QuickBooks Online (optional).
- Education: A certification or a degree in Business Administration or Accountancy
- Knowledge of Australian Tax Law is a plus.
- Attention to Detail, Organisational Skills, and absolute discretion and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
