The Learning Company is a Dutch e-learning startup based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
We create practical online training modules for topics such as food safety, hygiene, logistics, onboarding and workplace behaviour.
We are looking for a freelance 2D/3D animator or motion designer for a long-term collaboration. The work will vary throughout the year, but we are growing our e-learning content and want to build a consistent visual animation style.
Our topics are serious, but the animations should make them easier, clearer and more engaging for learners. The style we are looking for is professional, simple, educational and slightly cartoonish, with a touch of smart humour.
The animations should support learning. They must be easy to understand, visually clear and preferably understandable even without much text on screen.
What we need
We are looking for someone who can create short animations for e-learning modules, for example:

Our values
Our e-learning content must represent gender and racial equality and must be free from stereotypical expressions. We are looking for someone who understands and respects this mindset in their creative work.
How to apply
Please include links to your most relevant animation examples. We are especially interested in examples of:
For each example, please briefly explain your role. For example: storyboard, illustration, animation, editing, sound, voice-over, or full production.
Please only apply if you can show relevant animation work. General graphic design, web design or social media content without animation examples is not enough for this role.
Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a small paid test assignment before starting a larger project.
We prefer to work on a project-price basis. For us, consistency, reliability and long-term collaboration are more important than a one-time project.
