Bairn, LLC

Bairn is a multi-disciplinary media studio founded in 2017 headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The studio is most known for heartfelt, soulful, and genre-bending narrative media production along with timeless, purposeful retail. We focus to co-create compelling & valuable high-end, narrative commercial films and original media such as commercial campaigns, micro-documentaries, film & TV series and experiential events.

Narrative productions are characterized by a recurrent themes of stories based on personal life experiences/identity, bridging cultural understanding/tolerance, an affection of trust, biological/make-shift families, solutions for inequitable realities, quirky dry-humor, non-linear storylines, forgiveness, innocence, common humanity, slices of life, nature/pollution, longing for companionship, the wholesomeness of natural/traditional lifestyles, the collective benefits of newer living, child-like adults, adult-like children, self-love, self-actualization, and difficulties to maintain pacifist ethics in violent worlds.

Characters:

Protagonists are usually intrinsically and extrinsically troubled “losers”. 

Antagonists are usually morally ambiguous with redeemable qualities.

History:

From humble beginnings as a basement film studio to a home in the entertainment industry today, Bairn proudly continues a legacy of creating world-class stories and touching, memorable experiences for every member of the family across the world. Bairn was founded in 2017 by Thomas & Evans Nguyen, second generation Vietnamese American immigrants. Their families moved from Vietnam to pursue a better life. Amongst other communities affected by war, Thomas & Evans’ families have experienced the after effects of intolerance, misunderstanding, and indiscriminate conflict. In effort to help shape a brighter world, Thomas & Evans believe story-telling can be a powerful method to bridge cultural/personal understanding and inspire positive action.

Why was Bairn created?

We created Bairn because of our burning desire to do timeless, ethical, challenging, and purposeful work through storytelling and inspire future generations in positive ways. We do want not want to create so we can make a living. We want to make a living so we can create.
