WHITE PLAINS NEWSLETTER
Always At Your Service:
A message from your Punong Barangay
It’s been a while since we gave an update about the
goings-on in our barangay. Much as we want to inform
you of our activities, we just had no means to
communicate with you on a regular basis. Now, we are
glad to bring to you our newsletter, Barangay Balita, that
will provide you with the update and information about
what’s happening in our barangay.
OCTOBER 2007
W.P. YOUTH
in action !
The past year proved to be a tough but fulfilling year for
us. We managed to make good our promises of providing
a cleaner, brighter and healthier place for all our
residents.
There is still a lot to be done in improving the facilities of
the community and in fostering harmony among all
residents. But, with your cooperation and that of the
other organizational units serving the village, like the
White Plains Homeowners Association, Inc. and White
Plains Ladies Association, we are confident that this will
be resolved with the best interest of everybody.
We will continue taking measures to reach a consensus
for us to be united in a meaningful way (together with
Katipunan) and to make White Plains a better place to live
in. We will always welcome your suggestions and other
feedback on our activities.
April 21, 2007 - The Youth GetGet- Together event is a project of
the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) to bring out all the youth in the
village. There were a total of 41 participants. It was a whole
day of fun, food, games, magic show and night swimming.
Your barangay will be there to serve you.

involved if you want to be more active
and have your say on issues that
directly affect you or your barangay.
It’s time to make a positive
contribution!
You can volunteer your time to help a
charity or participate in a community
engagement activity. You may want to
get involved in fundraising or helping to
increase local awareness about an
issue.
If you would like to be involved in your

First Aid Seminar Conducted
First Aid is
needed
anywhere,
anytime.
Accidents
happen, and
instead of
standing by
helpless, we
can help the
victims if we
know first aid.
Residents trooped to the barangay hall last September 22, 2007
to listen and learn about first aid. The seminar was conducted to
raise public awareness about the importance of first aid and to
increase residents’ understanding of the positive implications of
first aid in day-to-day life as well as in emergencies.
