by Mr. Tony Boy Liao, AVP
Central Clearing Division Head
Let’s take our hats off to OSCAR T. NOTADO,
Senior Assistant Manager of Audit, for
successfully passing the May 2005 Certified
Internal Auditor (C.I.A.) Examination. His move
to take the world-renowned C.I.A. exam is part of
Audit Group’s support to potential and interested
auditors to acquire professional certifications as
underscored in the Group’s 2005 Tactical Action
Plans.
The C.I.A. designation is one of the globally
accepted certification for internal auditors and
remains a standard by which individuals
demonstrate
their
competency
and
professionalism in the field of internal auditing.
Despite the busy schedule he keeps
as the Head of our Audit Group,
JOHN B. ESTIOKO has managed to
add another feather to his cap.
John recently completed his masteral
studies at the De La Salle University Graduate School of Business where
he will be conferred with a Master of
Business Administration degree
during
the
school’s
144th
Commencement Exercises in October.
The Bank largely provided him the
support particularly, financial support
consistent with the employees benefit
on educational assistance, for which
he is very thankful.
Aside from pursuing further studies,
John has also been regularly conduct-
ing lectures and reviews at the
Institute of Internal Auditors and
Information Systems Audit and Control
Association- Phil. Chapter, two of the
country’s most-distinguished association of auditors, for their review
classes in C.I.A. and C.I.S.A.
examination, respectively. He handles
the modules covering IS Audit General
and Application Controls and Business
Process
Evaluation
and
Risk
Management.
All these, he does as part of his effort
to “somehow contribute in giving
PBCom brand competitiveness in the
industry”. John takes pride in the fact
that in all his appearances, it is being
mentioned by the sponsors that he is
from PBCom. Way to go, John!
