HELP ME!
I'M STUCK!
and too proud
to admit it!
By Viktor ilijev
This is what
your fellow co-founder or partner is desperately
trying to tell you when facing a creative
block/problem at work.
sometimes
They just can’t figure out a
solution no matter what
they try. And they
desperately need
help.
Help because
they are just too deep in the woods and can't
see the forest.
Luckily
you are here to
save the day...
and
Share your ALL
KNOWING WISDOM AND
KNOWLEDGE by
saying...
...the
worst thing you can ever say:
“you
Are doing it wrong
“LET
ME TELL YOU HOW IT'S DONE
“in
My opinion...
I won't kill you but...
stop
because
tHE DIRECT APPROACH,
of offering help and offering your ALL KNOWING
advice, doesn’t work.
You need
a different approach...
ONE,
LESS DIRECT.
Wow,, so profound...
THINK ABOUT IT THIS WAY...
You need to help this thing...
Which is lost, angry and will
kill you if you go head to
head...
...Become this guy
by guiding him and making
himself find the way out of
the forest and find a
solution.
not one, i lied.
2 ways
you can try and help him.
1
ask him to help you
with something you are doing. Ask
him nicely and offer a reward he
can't refuse. Be genuine with
your request.
something
fun and challenging
that requires both of
you and your
undivided attention.
This way
he will escape from the forest for a short time and
allow his mind to work on a solution in peace, while he
focuses on your fun and challenging activity.
Or go witH THE second
WAY...
Make him
“teach” you
how to do his work, step by
step from beginning to end.,
Can you show me WHAT THIS BUTTON DOes?
Ask questions that only children would ask.
Brutally simple and honest. But critically
important for him because these questions
will help him “get back to basics”
Omg, lIKE THIS?
be enthusiastic and act as if you don't
know POOP about his work.
Which you don't, and that's the right attitude.
This way
you help him teach himself, by going “back to basics” and repeating the
same process from beginning to end; make him revisit the place where he
got stuck and help him remember basic tools which he has used in the past
to tackle problems (but have forgotten due to the circumstances). Plus you
get to learn new stuff as well.
