BDO offers their personal loan for needs such as tuition fees, gadgets, vacations, medical emergencies, balance transfers and a few other needs.
H2 What are the benefits of a BDO loan?
The BDO personal loan grants one of the lowest starting loan amounts at ₱10,000 with a maximum of ₱1,000,000. Monthly terms start at 6 months and can reach up to 36 months with a monthly add-on rate of 1.30% for the 6-month tenure and 1.25% from 12 months and up.
They also offer the Asenso Kabayan program for OFWs that want to apply for a personal loan. OFWs can use this for a BDO cash loan, education, home renovation, and other purposes. Interest rates change drastically depending on whether you choose an unsecured or secured loan. For the unsecured loan, a constant 2% add-on rate will be charged every month while a secured loan will only range between 0.78% to 0.84%.
H2 Am I eligible for a BDO loan?
To be eligible for a BDO personal loan, you must either be a Filipino citizen or a foreigner that has resided in the Philippines for more than 2 years. You must be at least 21 years old at the time of your application but not older than 70 years old upon maturity of the loan.
You must have a mobile phone and a landline phone at either your office or residence. Your office or residence should also be within reach of a BDO branch.
For employees, you must have a gross annual income of at least ₱120,000 or ₱10,000 per month. You must also have already stayed with your current company for at least 1 year at the time of application.
For the self-employed and professional individuals, a gross annual income of ₱400,000 or higher is required. The BDO personal loan also requires the self-employed individual to either be a sole proprietor or majority part-owner of the company operating for at least 2 years. The professionals must have been in private practice for at least 1 year.
H2 What are the requirements for a BDO loan?
A BDO loan application form is available at any BDO branch or by downloading the form and must be filled up and signed by the applicant.
For salaried employees, a photocopy of either your latest BIR FORM 2316 or W2 signed by any authorised representative of your employer must be submitted. A copy of your payslip from last month is also required. You must also provide an original Certificate of Employment and Income issued in the last 3 months with your status, the length of service, and a breakdown of your compensation to complete your BDO personal loan.
For the self-employed and professionals, you must present a photocopy of a registration of your business, either issued by the DTI or SEC. Also, a photocopy of the latest ITR and W4 with a BIR or bank stamp, and the latest audited financial statements from the last two years are also required. You must also present 2 copies of the front and back of your valid IDs with your photo, issued and signed by an official authority. The IDs may either be a government or company ID.
For resident foreigners, along with the requirements already mentioned, a BDO personal loan needs a copy of either your employment contract of Certificate of Employment is required along with a letter from the Embassy if available. You must also submit a photocopy of any of the following: a valid passport with a resident visa, work permit and valid Visa, SIR Visa with Visas Philippine economic authority or Visa with Eo226, ACR, ICR, or ACR1.
